Commercial solar

Solar and storage for your business, sized from your actual load.

If your building uses most of its power during the day, solar can shift a real chunk of your bill onto your own roof — and storage can carry it further. We start from your site's half-hourly data and give you a fixed, itemised price and an honest payback, before you commit to anything.

Hertfordshire & nearby · Fixed itemised price · Draft page — detail to confirm

Draft page. This lays out the commercial offer honestly, but the specifics — system sizes, DNO process, and any track record — need your real detail before it goes live. Nothing here claims work that hasn't been done.

Why solar suits a business

Most of your power is used in daylight — so most of it can come off your roof

Unlike a home, a commercial building usually does its heaviest work during the day — the same hours the sun is up. That means a much larger share of what solar generates is used on site straight away, instead of being exported cheaply, which is what makes the numbers work for offices, units, warehouses and farms.

Add storage and you push it further: catch the midday surplus, cut expensive peak-rate demand later, and keep essentials running through an outage. The right mix depends entirely on your load — so that's where we start, not with a panel count.

Why sizing matters

The right system is the one that matches your load

Too little generation and you're still buying peak-rate power all afternoon. Too much storage and capacity sits idle. The right sizing comes from your building's load shape, not a round number off a brochure.

We read your half-hourly load

Your building's half-hourly data (via your MPAN) shows exactly when and how hard you draw power — the shape a system has to fit.

We size generation and storage

Enough panels to cover your daytime base load, enough storage to shift the surplus — sized to your site, with the working shown.

We tell you the real payback

A genuine payback and return figure from your own consumption — and if it doesn't stack up for your site, we say so plainly.

The honest bit

Commercial only works if the numbers do

For a lot of businesses solar is a genuinely strong investment — steady daytime load, a big roof, and rising energy costs all point the same way. For others the roof, the tariff or the usage pattern mean it's thinner, and we'll tell you that.

We'd rather be straight than sell you a system that never pays back. The assessment is where we find out, and the answer is genuinely allowed to be "not worth it for your site".

If someone quotes you a commercial system without first looking at your half-hourly load, they're guessing. The size only means something once it's matched to how your building actually runs.

How we do it

Done properly, and itemised in full

You see exactly what you're paying for — the panels, the inverters, the DNO paperwork, the lot — no vague "system price" hiding the detail.

  • A free analysis of your real data before anything is quoted
  • A site survey and design around your building and roof, not a template
  • Panels, inverters and any storage specified to your load
  • A fixed, itemised quote that doesn't move once issued
  • The DNO application (G99 where required) handled for you
  • Monitoring and an annual review so it keeps performing
